who we are

The new Fish Hebrides website was designed and constructed by MTC, with content supplied by the Outer Hebrides Fisheries Trust (OHFT). As part of their remit OHFT promote freshwater angling in the Outer Hebrides.

Thereby, giving both visiting and local anglers an information portal to view what angling opportunities there are throughout the Outer Hebrides. Fish Hebrides has been running since 2004 as one of the franchises under Fish Britain which is now FishPal.

The Outer Hebrides Fisheries Trust

The Outer Hebrides Fisheries Trust (OHFT) was formed as the Western Isles Fisheries Trust (WIFT) in 1996, changing in 2006. The Trust is a registered charity (number SC040530), regulated by the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) and a company limited by guarantee registered in Scotland (number SC307684) dedicated to conducting scientific research into wild fish stocks and advising on freshwater fisheries management.
